Author Awards

Supported by the Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society (AOSS), this award
acknowledges the best article paper published by a young, first author in Biomaterial
Investigations in Dentistry the previous year.

The award aims to encourage young scientists to publish their research in Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry and to showcase what is a good article.

The award consists of a monetary prize of €5,000 and a diploma.

Eligible candidates and evaluation procedure
Candidates are first authors who at the time of submission of their manuscript are within 10 years of completing their last terminal degree (PhD, DDS, MDM, MS etc.).
Evaluation of the manuscripts is based on the following criteria: originality of study, suitability of study design, presentation of results, and readability of the paper.

Once a year, candidate articles are evaluated and prioritized by the Editor-in-Chief and the Associate Editor. The final nomination is made by the AOSS board.
