Scandinavica Society

Acta Odontologica Scandinavia Society (AOSS) is a Nordic non-profit organisation supporting dental research and development through scientific journal publishing, awarding prizes and supporting research conferences.
Welcome to the Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society
The Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society is dedicated to advancing dental science, research, and education, with a rich legacy dating back to 1939. Founded to promote collaboration and excellence in the field of dentistry, the society has become a respected platform for dental professionals, scientists, and educators, both in Scandinavia and around the world.
Our mission is to support and disseminate high-quality research that contributes to the ongoing advancement of oral health. As part of this mission, we are proud to publish our international open-access journals Acta Odontologica Scandinavica (AOS) and Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry. For decades AOS has served as a vital resource for dentists, researchers, and healthcare professionals by offering peer-reviewed articles that cover a wide range of topics, including clinical studies, orthodontics, epidemiology, and preventive care. In recent years we have initiated Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry focusing on dental materials. With an emphasis on rigorous scientific standards, the journals are globally recognized for their contributions to dental knowledge.
Rooted in the Nordic tradition, the society brings together dental professionals from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland. However, our influence and reach extend far beyond the borders of Scandinavia. We foster international collaboration, ensuring that cutting-edge dental research is accessible to a global audience. Our society also organizes scientific conferences and meetings, creating opportunities for dental professionals to exchange ideas, discover innovations, and address the evolving challenges within the field.
At the Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society, we are committed to bridging research and practice, empowering dentists and researchers to improve patient care and promote oral health worldwide. We invite you to explore our journal, participate in our scientific events, and join a vibrant community of professionals dedicated to the future of dentistry.
Together, we strive to shape the next generation of dental research and enhance the health and well-being of people everywhere.
